Issues with the SIGMA fp Video Class (UVC) setting during USB connection and movie recording.

Thank you for purchasing and using our products.

We can confirm that when connecting the SIGMA fp to a computer using the Video Class (UVC) USB mode the following two issues occur. They specifically happen when recording video and while using certain settings.

【Phenomenon 1】
When working in CINE mode, with the video resolution set to UHD, the USB mode set to Video Class (UVC) and the camera connected to a computer via USB, the device freezes when recording video.

【Solution】
Set the video resolution to FHD before making a Video Class (UVC) connection with your computer.
If you are recording a video with a SIGMA fp that has ever been set to UHD resolution and has been connected to a computer in Video Class (UVC) mode, please reset the camera settings before recording.

【Phenomenon 2】
When the SIGMA fp is connected to a computer via USB using the Video Class (UVC) setting, the video feed can be interrupted, and on rare occasions noise can occur.

【Solution】
This can be avoided by using settings that help reduce the amount of data being transferred. This includes blurring the background with a wide aperture, keeping the ISO sensitivity low and not using the exposure compensation function.

We are currently working on releasing new firmware to fix these issues and will announce it when it is complete.

In the meantime, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to customers affected by these issues.
